Dr. Saumya Sharma

Hello and welcome to our practice. I am Saumya and I have over 16 years of surgical experience in the field of Oral Surgery, Periodontology and Dental Implants. I completed with Honours, both, my BDS degree in 2004 followed by my postgraduate training in Periodontology and Oral Implantology from India in 2008. While still pursuing my postgraduate degree in 2007, I completed my MFDS RCPS (Glasgow). In the year 2010, I moved to the U.K and have since worked in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) at various hospitals of repute which include Peterborough, Luton and Cambridge. My expertise lie in providing our patients with the highest level of care in oral surgery, dental implant and periodontal procedures. I particularly enjoy management of periodontal disease and am proud to share that we are one of the few surgeries in the region to offer our patients the entire gamete of periodontal treatments including non-surgical, surgical and laser. I am committed to sharing my experience and knowledge with my colleagues and have conducted lectures on education platforms like Dentinal Tubules and Study Clubs at our practice. Striving for excellence in order to achieve optimum and holistic care for our patients is my primary consideration. Providing quality care with a sound scientific understanding and an emphasis on human relations is how I summarise my vocation. I am blessed with the most wonderful family who I am extremely grateful for. I enjoy collecting and preserving all things beautiful. I am a strong believer in giving back to society and my family and I do our best to this end. I hope to see you and look after you at The Ackerman Clinic soon.
