Dr. Justus Dirks

My name is Justus and I grew up in the beautiful mountain village of Barberton, South Africa also now a World Heritage site. It is situated 30 miles from the famous Kruger National Park. I started my studies at the University of Pretoria in 1989, completing a BSc degree in Microbiology and Physiology followed by a BSc Honours degree in Physiology and then a Masters degree in Physiology under the Biochemistry Department while completing my BChD degree in dentistry. I have always been keen to work in a clinical/medical environment. With the whole patient’s health and wellbeing in mind, I see dentistry and facial aesthetics as complimentary treatments. I started with facial aesthetics training in 2003, Implant training in 2005 with the world-renowned Malo Clinic in Lisbon, continuing training with leaders in the field Dr. Tidu Mankoo and Dr. Ashok Sethi in London. Accompanying my surgical training I also completed extensive cosmetic treatment training with the California Center for Advanced Dental Studies. Continuing to keep up to date with advanced techniques for treatments, using companies with a research evidence based history is what I believe in. I work closely with surgeons at The Ackerman Clinic to provide prosthodontic solutions for complex implant rehabilitations. When I am not at the surgery I like to keep fit with cycling, playing tennis and continue my lifelong hobby of photography . Family life is very important and busy and together with my lovely wife Marilise, we have three beautiful children.
